No, a perfusionist is not a nurse. A perfusionist is a specialised healthcare professional who is trained to operate the heart-lung machine during cardiac surgery and other medical procedures. The primary responsibility of a perfusionist is to manage the patient's cardiopulmonary (heart and lung) function while the surgeon performs procedures on the heart or other organs. On the other hand, a nurse is a healthcare professional who provides general patient care and support. Nurses may work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities.

No, nurses in India do not typically study MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery). MBBS is a professional degree for individuals pursuing a career as a medical doctor or physician. Nurses, on the other hand, pursue nursing education through different programs specific to their field. While nurses and doctors work closely together in healthcare settings, their educational paths are distinct. Nurses focus on nursing care, patient advocacy, health promotion, and disease prevention, while doctors (MBBS graduates) receive training to diagnose illnesses, prescribe treatments, and perform medical procedures.
