Several B.Sc Nursing institutes in India do not require an entrance exam, instead opting for merit-based selection based on previous academic performance. Some famous institutes include Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing in New Delhi, which admits students based on their Class 12 results. Similarly, the Christian Medical College in Ludhiana analyses candidates' qualifying test scores while admitting students. Other colleges, including the Apollo College of Nursing in Chennai and the Bombay Hospital College of Nursing in Mumbai, use a merit-based admissions procedure.
