Hi, In Oberoi STEP, students have to work in Oberoi hotels during their course and they give IGNOU Exam every semester. Step is more of a practical programme where the students learn by working in the industry and not in classroom. There is no cut-off as such to apply for Oberoi STEP exam. You should have cleared XII examination, as on July 1, 2018, from any board that is recognised by the Indira Gandhi National Open University, India (IGNOU). .

IHM is the best course to pursue if you wish to have broader career choices. Both IIHM and Oberios are good, but given a preference, go for IHM first and then think of getting into any one of these two.

Hi,
STEP is Systematic Training and Education Program by Oberoi Hotels and Resorts.
In STEP program the candidate learns while working in any one of the Oberoi's properties.

So, STEP is basically a distance course when learning happens inside the hotel and there is no formal classroom based study.
On the other hand, IHM-Aurangabad provides a full time Bachelor's in Hotel management. The student learns in the classroom, the practicals happen in a systematic way and the students are sent for Industrial Training for 4-5 months in various

Yes, you expect decent packages after completing hotel management course. In the beginning, you might get a low package, but the growth is very good and huge incentives are given in this industry with various other facilities.
