Yes, the counselling process for the Special OJEE exam begins after the results of the Special OJEE exam are announced. Usually, the OJEE counselling is already underway when the results for Special OJEE are announced. The authorities release a new link for the Special OJEE registration, and the candidates who did not appear for the OJEE exam, can register for the Special OJEE counselling.

Candidates who have secured a seat for BTech at NIST through the OJEE counselling must report physically to the NIST campus, for document verification and admission formalities. They must ensure that they bring the original documents along with a set of photocopies for submission. Failure to provide the required documents may result in the cancellation of admission. After the document verification, shortlisted candidates can proceed to pay the BTech admission confirmation fee and other fees as applicable.

Candidates who have been allotted a seat for MBA at NIST through OJEE counselling must report at the campus for document verification. They must carry the following original documents along with a set of photocopies:1. OJEE Final Allotment Letter2. College Leaving/Transfer Certificate3. Conduct Certificate/Character Certificate4. JEE Main Expected Cutoff for B.Planning at Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR), Bhubaneswar through OJEE counseling changes every year based examination difficulty level, a total number of applicants appeared in the exam, etc. For the General category, it has remained in and around 25,000 to 30,000 till now. Generally, the reserved categories carry lower cutoffs. For the accurate information, candidates should check on the official counseling portal of OJEE or with Official OUTR admissions announcements to know the latest cut off trends.

The OJEE counselling process is online. Candidates have to register online by filling the OJEE counselling form and pay the counselling fee. Once the candidates have registered, they can lock their choices during the choice-locking window. The authorities will release a temporary seat allotment based on choices locked by the candidates and release a merti list. Candidates can check their seat allotment online and report to the nodal centre for admission fee payment and document verification.

The float option in OJEE counseling means that an aspirant has accepted their allotted seat but wants a better programme. If a candidate chooses the float option, they will retain their current seat allotment but will be considered for higher preferences in the next round. They will lose their previously allotted seat only when they are allotted another seat from their other higher preferences.The other options in OJEE counseling are "freeze" and "slide".
