BHMS stands for Bachelor in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery. BHMS course covers the knowledge regarding the homeopathic medical system,  which involves the treatment of patients with high dilutions of homeopathic medicines mainly in liquid and tablet form to enhance the body’s natural healing system. BHMS course duration is 5 years and 6 months which includes 1 year of rotatory internship after completing the final examination.BHMS eligibility requires students to secure 50% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the compulsory subjects from a recognised university. The minimum age limit is 17 years. BHMS Admissions are done through NEET, registration for which started on February 09, 2024. The top BHMS colleges in India are GGSIPU, Vinayaka Mission University, Dr. DY Patil Vidyapeeth, etc. as per NIRF rankings. The average BHMS course fees range between INR 12,000 to INR 30,000 in government colleges and INR 1,50,000 to INR 2,00,000 in private colleges.The average BHMS salary in India ranges from INR 2.5 LPA to 6.5 LPA.
