Students who have completed their 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Science stream (PCMB) are eligible for B Optometry. Colleges offer admission through merit mostly, only very few conduct entrance exams. Many colleges also offer admission on the basis of NEET score.

Admission is through counselling based on the percentile obtained in JIPMER Common Entrance Examination (JIPMER CEE) conducted by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research. Eligibility : 50% marks in 12th
Mandatory Subjects Chemistry Physics English Biology / Botany, Zoology

Candidates get shortlisted on the basis of NEET 2021 scores. It is compulsory to attend the NEET 2021 entrance exam in order to get admission in the AFMC College. The marks scored by the candidate in NEET 2021 will be summed up with the ToELR score and then added scores will be divided by 4.
