BSc in Optometry programs typically include physics courses that cover topics relevant to optics and vision science. Physics is essential for understanding the principles of light, lenses, and their applications in optometric practice. If you struggle with physics, you may need to dedicate extra time and effort to these courses to ensure you grasp the concepts.Ultimately, while Physics is a fundamental part of the BSc in Optometry curriculum, your decision should weigh your interest in the field against your comfort level with Physics and your willingness to work through any challenges it presents.

No, you cannot perform surgery after completing a BSc in Optometry. Optometrists are trained to provide comprehensive eye care, including vision testing, prescribing corrective lenses, and diagnosing certain eye conditions, but they are not qualified to perform surgical procedures.Eye surgeries are performed by ophthalmologists, who are medical doctors who have completed MBBS, followed by specialized training and residency in Ophthalmology.

B Pharmacy is the study of pharmaceutical sciences, including the development, production, and dispensing of medications. On the other hand, a BSc in Optometry is the study of eye care, vision science, and the diagnosis and treatment of visual disorders. If candidates are more interested in medications, their effects, and healthcare delivery through pharmaceuticals, B Pharmacy may be the better choice. If they are fascinated by vision science and direct patient care in eye health, BSc Optometry could be more suitable.

No, Optometry is not under MBBS. Optometry is a distinct field of healthcare focused on the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of vision problems and eye disorders. It involves the study of optics, visual science, and eye health, and optometrists are trained to prescribe corrective lenses, detect eye diseases, and provide various eye care services. In contrast, MBBS is a comprehensive medical degree that covers a broad range of medical sciences and prepares students to become general physicians.

Yes, you can pursue Optometry without taking the NEET. NEET is primarily required for admission to medical courses such as MBBS and BDS in India. Majorly, admission to UG Optometry courses is based on merit-based (Class 12 scores).

Optometrists are primary healthcare professionals who specialize in vision care. They primarily perform eye exams to assess vision, prescribe corrective lenses (glasses or contact lenses), diagnose certain eye conditions, and provide non-surgical treatments for common eye problems like astigmatism, nearsightedness, farsightedness, and presbyopia. On the other hand, Ophthalmic technologists or technicians are specialised professionals who assist ophthalmologists (medical doctors specializing in eye care) in diagnosing and treating eye-related conditions.
