OSSTET is for secondary education school teacher I. e from standard 8 to 10 (including 11 12th after merging junior college in schools). OTET is for above primary I. e standard 4 and higher. As in Odisha there are government schools only for class 8-10 and also schools for class 1-7. hence there are two types of exam. May be in near future thy would conduct only one TET exam.

The eligibility criteria for OTET (Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test) is as follows:

OTET stands for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test and it is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of teachers in primary (Classes I-V) and upper primary (Classes VI-VIII) schools in the state of Odisha.
