Some of the few things that the University of Ottawa students can check out or do over the weekend are: As Ottawa is rich in culture, students can visit Canadian Museum of Nature, History, War, etc. Check out some of the art galleries Go for the walks around Rideau CanalGo to ByWard market Try out shopping near Bayshore Mall, Rideau Mall and Tanger OutletsCheck out some local coffee shops such as Bridgehead, Second Cup, etc.

Students starting their first semester at the uOttawa must keep the following things in mind: Attend the orientation / homecoming events Create a formal routine to manage the classes and personal routineFind the space for studies in the campus so that there is no distractionGet to know the city. Explore the museums, capital building, cafes, etc. Try to attend all the classes and make notes
