The OUAT Exam Syllabus included of four parts: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mental Aptitude and Mathematics. There are topics from all the four subjects that are asked from the OUAT Syllabus.

The Kashmiri Migrants/ Kashmiri Pandit (Non-Migrants) / Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmir Valley are not required to appear in the OUAT PG Entrance Examination - 2024. Interested candidates must apply online, without which admission is not allowed. The selection of these candidates will be made from a separate merit list prepared based on the highest OGPA/percentage of marks in Under Graduate programme. Without OGPA/marks of qualifying examinations, the application will be invalid. In case of a tie, it will be resolved considering the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination followed by Class 12 science

The ICAR/Departmental candidates sponsored by State Govt./Foreign Candidates nominated by ICAR/ICCR/any other statutory bodies of Govt. of India are exempted from appearing in the Entrance Examination. All other categories of candidates including ICAR Fellowship holders are required to appear at the Entrance Examination.

The Entrance Examination will be of 2 hours duration with 200 multiple choice questions of one mark each in English language only. There will be no negative mark for the wrong answer. The multiple-choice questions (MCQ) will cover the subjects taught at the Bachelor’s Degree level and Master’s Degree (major discipline) for the Master’s and Doctoral programmes respectively.

There will be 180 general multiple choice questions (Non-crop specific) in part A and 40 crop specific (Field crop and Horticultural crops in equal proportion) questions in part B following the common syllabi of Agriculture and Horticulture faculties. Candidates have to attempt all the questions in part A and any 20 questions from part B.

The entrance examination for admission into the Master’s programme in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode and for the Doctoral programme is offline at Bhubaneswar. For the M.Sc. (Ag) course programme, the question of entrance test will be comprised of two parts Part- A and Part B.

To appear in the online entrance examination (CBT mode), the candidate must have the admit card and original ID proof. Submission of application Form-B (online) is mandatory for the admission process. No hard copy of application Form-A, Form-B or any other document will be accepted. For admission, the candidate must appear entrance examination and submit Form B. Even if a candidate appears in the entrance examination, but does not submit Form B, the rank will not be generated and the candidate will not be eligible for admission.

No, the seats that are reserved for SC & ST candidates, who appear for the OUAT Exam and clear the exam, are not allowed to interchange their reserved seats separately.

The university reserves the right to change the number of seats if required. The latest rules and regulations in any matter of admission, specified by competent authority will be followed during the admission process. 3.1.2. When there is one seat for both SC & ST candidates, the seats are allotted on an alternate basis every year as specified in the prospectus.
