School of Petroleum Technology (SPt) at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University accepts only Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores for admission to its B.Tech programs. There is no alternative entrance exam accepted.

For B.Tech. programmes, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) provides a number of scholarships, one of which is the Merit Scholarship, which waives all tuition costs for students beginning with their first semester. Students will receive a full tuition waiver if they are admitted based on the following ACPC and JEE Main rank banks for different courses. Unfortunately, getting into School of Petroleum Technology, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University with an 86 percentile in JEE Mains is unlikely, especially for the B.Tech. Petroleum Engineering program. The minimum percentile required generally falls within the 95-99 range, depending on your category and seat type. However, there might be a chance for the B.Tech. Petrochemical Engineering program, where the cut-off may be slightly lower.
