As the Tamilnadu state does not contain any entrance exam for the B.Sc courses, students can directly apply for the respected institute for the admission into B.Sc MLT. The inclusion of Mathematics in MLT course can vary depending on the specific curriculum and the level of the program. Generally, MLT course focuses more on the sciences, especially Biology and Chemistry, as they are directly relevant to the field of medical laboratory technology.Diploma programs, such as Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), typically have a more practical and skill-oriented curriculum. While some basic mathematical skills may be needed for certain laboratory calculations, the emphasis is usually on biology, chemistry, and laboratory techniques.

If you are looking for a more comprehensive and in-depth education with broader career prospects, MLT (especially a BMLT program) might be a better choice. On the other hand, if you are seeking a shorter and more focused training programme for entry-level positions, DMLT could be a suitable option. It's essential to align your choice with your career goals and aspirations.Candidates can check the table below to see the comparison between the two.ParticularsMLTDMLTCourse LevelUG and DiplomaDiplomaCourse Duration2 - 3.6 years2 yearsCourse FeeINR 720 - INR 5 LakhINR 20,000 - INR 1.4 LakhAdmission CriteriaCUET, TJEE, IPU CET, LPU NESTMeri
