Yes, you can pursue a PhD after completing your MSc Clinical Psychology. In India, many universities offer PhD programs in Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology or related fields. Admission typically requires a strong academic record, relevant research interests, and sometimes qualifying exams or interviews. A PhD will allow you to specialize further, engage in advanced research, and open up opportunities in academia, research institutions, or leadership roles in clinical settings.

Yes, you can open a clinic after completing your MSc Clinical Psychology, provided you meet the necessary licensing and legal requirements in India. To practice independently, you typically need to obtain certification or registration from the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). This registration ensures that you are qualified to provide psychological services professionally. Once registered, you can offer services such as counselling, psychotherapy, and mental health assessments in your clinic.

Clinical psychology, a specialised branch of Psychology, focuses specifically on diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental health disorders. While Psychology explores general principles of behaviour and mental functioning, clinical psychology applies this knowledge to address psychological issues through therapy, assessment, and interventions. In essence, clinical psychology is more practice-oriented, dealing with real-world mental health challenges, while psychology serves as the foundation for understanding human behaviour in diverse contexts.
