No, it is not easy getting part-time jobs while studying at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) owing to the workload and competitiveness  in the art and design industry.  While the School of Visual Arts offers a select number of opportunities for students to engage in internships and other professional experiences, securing part-time jobs is considered to be more difficult compared to other fields.

While getting part-time jobs is possible, it might not be easy from the get-go since the coursework at Duke University is demanding. Work-study is a programme that helps students get part-time jobs, especially on Duke's campus.Employment opportunities for both on- and off-campus jobs are posted to the Student Employment Website. A student's eligibility to work during Summer Terms or other terms will be determined by the program's financial aid office.
