Admission Process:
The process of admission to Master of Design is through an entrance examination. This is known as Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED), it is conducted by IIT Mumbai every year. The test is designed to test the skills of the candidate like, colour sensitiveness, structure, perception, innovation and aptitude towards the discipline. The test is followed by a process of personal interview. If you do not want to appear for the CEED again, you can opt for Distance learning universities which allow direct entry of the candidates. There is no process of lateral entry in this course.

Syllabus for Pearl Academy Design Aptitude Test (that): In this part of Pearl Academy admission process aspirants are evaluated on the basis of their creative aptitude, drawing ability, observation power, imagination, and sensitivity to the environment as well as their communication skills. Pearl Academy Personal Interview: in the personal interview round of Pearl Academy admissions, candidates need to carry their portfolio on the basis of which they are evaluated. Aspirants seeking admission in design stream courses are also tested on how well they can handle different materials and so they need to appear for a Studio Test as well. Pearl Academy has its own admission process which is organised in three cycles. For the academic session set to commence in 2018, the admission cycles conducted by Pearl Academy are as mentioned below:
Admission Cycle 1 January 2018
Admission Cycle 2 April 2018
Admission Cycle 3 May 2018
Admission Cycle 4 June 2018
Admission Cycle 5 July 2018
In order to secure admission in any programme offered by this design college, aspirants need to appear for Pearl Academy Entrance Exam (which is also commonly called PAF Entrance Exam) followed by a Personal Interview round. Candidates are informed that in each admission cycle of Pearl Academy, separate written entrance exam, as well as personal interview round, is conducted. Aspirants can secure admission in various UG, PG and Diploma programmes offered at Pearl Academy by clearing the written entrance exam and interview round.
