You must have physical education as one of the subjects in 12th to pursue B.P.Ed. If you didn't than other option is graduation with minimum 50% . Above it, if you are a dancer then why do you not choose dancing as a profession? It is a prospective option for you. Think twice.

Fine artists usually don't need a college degree, but they can benefit from the experience and opportunities for professional development available in college. College art programs can also provide students with access to equipment and materials they may not have otherwise, such as printing presses or kilns. Some art schools are career-focused; others incorporate studio art classes into a liberal-arts curriculum. If an artist plans to be an art teacher or art director, higher education may be required. Fine arts programs are available at the associate's, Bachelor's, and master's levels and, more rarely, at the doctoral level. UG Degree

Hi Ananya!
There is no formula of sure shot success in Bollywood. You need to be a very good singer first and should have a good training in vocals. These days there are so many reality shows that serve as a platform for success like Indian Idol, Voice of India etc. You can give your career a kick-start by auditioning for these shows. Please remember that stardom does not come overnight and you need to be very patient with your dreams if you want to make it big in the industry.

Further doing BA in music, you can pursue Masters in music, and if you want to be a playback singer, for that you need to struggle in industry. Other than that, you don't have any way to become a playback singer.

Hello Avanti,
I can understand your situation. Since you are already in 12th and studying science, I would suggest you to first focus on studies and clear your 12th. Once you clear it, start searching for some good western music academies and earn a certification. It needs a lot of focus and efforts. Don't be in hurry as you have enough time to learn a lot. Give yourself enough training through part time trainer in your location or wherever possible. Don't leave your studies in mid.

I would suggest you to first complete your studies, and side by side you can join some class for singing. You can further go for a Bachelor's degree in music. Bachelor's programs typically contain courses in music theory, music history, performance, conducting and composition. A college degree is not often mandatory to become a professional recording artist, but can provide helpful instruction in the form of music courses and one-on-one guidance. You might also consider enrolling in a programme at a music conservatory or completing private lessons with an established musician.
