PMIST offers various BTech programmes with different specialisations. Eligible candidates can opt for an honours degree in all the available BTech programmes by proper registration procedure and additional coursework requirements. PMIST admits students to its BTech programme under three criteria. Only the admissions under the first criteria are based on the scores of accepted entrance exams. Candidates can get an admission at PMIST for BTech without an entrance exam under the other two criteria. However, a preference is given to the candidates who have appeared for an entrance exam. The accepted exams include Uni-Gauge, JEE Main or any other national-level exam conducted by a competent authority. To get an admission at PMIST for BTech courses, candidates can submit their application in online mode via the official website of the university. Before submitting the applications, candidates must make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria specified by the university for BTech admissions. In addition to applying online, candidates seeking admission to the course through an entrance exam must register and appear for the exam. Admission to 50% of the seats is based on the candidates performance in an entrance exam (Uni-GAUGE/JEE Main/TNEA) and Class 12, with 50% weightage given to each. 45% of the seats are allotted to the applicants based on the normalised cut-off marks obtained in Class 12. PMU BTech fees comprise multiple components, such as tuition fee, security deposit, hostel fee, admin fee, etc. Some of these components are one-time chargeable. The amount of security deposit is refundable after the completition of the course. Other fee components could be refundable, non-refundable, to be paid semester-wise or annually. The tuition see for BTech at Periyar Maniammai University ranges between INR 1.1 Lacs - INR 4.8 Lakh.
