For admission to the Periyar University MBA course, candidates are required to fulfil the basic qualification requirements for this course. Those who are willing to get admission to the PG level MBA (General) course at Periyar University must get a UG degree of three years of duration with minimum of 50% aggregate in any stream. There is a relaxation of 5% given to candidates belonging to reserved categories. These candidates are required to pass a UG degree with minimum aggregate of 45%. Further, the basic eligibility requirement for MBA in Export Management is to pass the undergraduate course with 55% aggregate.

Admission to the MBA course at Periyar University is completely entrance-based. The university grants admission to aspirants based on valid TANCET/ MAT/ CAT scores. Another option is to appear and qualify for the entrance exam conducted by the Department of Management Studies at Periyar University.
