The PESSAT counselling process is conducted in multiple rounds where candidates are able to apply for admissions by registering for Casual Vacancy admissions. According to a response on a forum, it is possible to get CSE branch in second round of counselling with 1833 rank in PESSAT. The PESSAT cut off marks for 2021 have not been released yet. However, based on previous years cut off marks, you can expect to get a seat in the following branches at PES University with a rank of 7431 in PESSAT 2021:
B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (ME)
B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)
Please note that these are based on previous years cut off marks and are subject to change every year depending on various factors such as the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, etc.

You have good chances of making it to CSE branch at the institution, though it can't be assured. As per the past year trends and cutoffs, seats for CSE are filled between 800-1000 ranks but it is also to be noted that the intakes are limited based on PESSAT ranks as admissions are also offered through KCET and management/NRI quota. You should get other courses including ECE, EEE comfortably and as per my opinion definitely participate in counseling procedure as PES is full of opportunities irrespective of branches.

With a rank of 3664 in PESSAT exam, you can get admission into various branches of engineering such as Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Civil Engineering (CE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Information Science and Engineering (ISE) and many more depending on the availability of seats in each branch and college.

It is not possible to directly participate in round 2 of PESSAT counselling without appearing in round 1. If you are not alloted any seat in first round or desire an upgrade, you will be allowed to participate in second round. Moreover the amount of rupees 3.4lacs is to be paid only when you accept your offer letter and confirm it.

PES UNIVERSITY WILL START THE SLOT BOOKING FOR PESSAT 2022 IN ONLINE MODE FROM JUNE 14 AT THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE TO LOG IN USING THEIR REGISTRATION NUMBER AND PASSWORD FOR PESSAT 2022 SLOT BOOKING. DURING the PESSAT 2022 slot booking the candidates have to pick that time for the examination as per their preference and availability. The process is on a first come first serve basis.
