Hello Dinesh, You have asked a very difficult query indeed. Frankly speaking petrochemical branch has come out of chemical engineering. So its a speciality branch. Petroleum engineering will be dominating world economy for many more years to come and hence will have opportunities for employment. On the other hand, chemical branch deals with a subject that is going to last till humans are alive. It too has tremendous potential for employment. My opinion is that you should bid for both branches but accept whatever comes first.
