Hello Prasanna,
It depends on two factors. Firstly, how difficult will be the paper this year and secondly, how many students seek admission in MIT. However, MIT is considered as a premier institute and hence, it's expected that 75 percentile should be enough.

Yes, it is possible as there are many other entrance exams that you can give to get admission into petrochemical engineering. You can also get admission into it through JEE Mains.
