You could take up an engineering course, say in Chemical or Mechanical branches. Instead of only a bachelor's degree, even integrated masters and bachelors course is also very well. Good analytical skills, math skills, and creative skills play the key role. Professional engineering exam and relevant work experience help you become competent in petroleum engineering job.

Since the first batch of petroleum engineering hasn't graduated I can tell you about their placement but the MBAs got a decent placement in the past years. So you have chances to get good placement in B.Tech as well.

Hi,
Petroleum engineering has less scope but computer engineering has vast scope. Both of them are different but computer engineering has vast paths to follow. I would suggest you to check with Amity University, Lovely Professional University, Sharda University for the computer engineering courses as they provide better placements and options.

No, you can't get admission for the course you have mentioned above because as you have completed Diploma in civil engineering so you are experienced in that field. So, I will recommend that you should do something in the same branch for your betterment.
Thanks.
