Of course, Petroleum engineering has lot of scope. One of the best college is UPES, Dehradun. Try to get placement from there itself. If you search petroleum jobs outside it will be difficult task. But, the course has great importance and is a safe one for the future.

No, it is not necessary for you to write JEE Mains to get into UPES. You can get admission there on the basis of their internal test. They also consider the marks of board exam.

Yes, of course, as UPES is the only college in Asia to provide domain based petroleum programs. Do check all the streams in petroleum department.
