Except for agriculture Engineering, you must have taken PCM in 12th. For Agri Bio instead of maths is okay. You also need to score more than minimum required marks. These differ from state to state. You will have to pass concerned entrance test with good marks to get admission in desired branch and place.
Salaries presently are about 3-4L.

Upstreams operations
Major areas are-
Drilling
Reservoir
Production Formation Evaluation/ Well Logging
Exploration of Oil and Gas
In short, every techniques from exploring oil and gas to producing it and sending it to Refineries.
Petrochemical Engineering relates to work of-
Downstreams operations
Such as processing the received oil and gas to get end products.

Now a days, admissions to any engineering college is through entrance exam only. It could be JEE Mains or CET conducted by state board or by confederation of private colleges. So, 12th marks will not help. You have to score better in CET.
