Both the institutes are equally good, but to know the exact scenario for faculty and placements, you should get in touch with the current students through social media or in person.

Nowadays, petroleum engineering can be considered the best in comparison with mechanical engineering.
Petroleum engineering has more job opportunities as there are less students in petroleum engineering than mechanical engineering.
Also it's depend on your own interest.
If you have interest in Mechanical Engeneering then Mechanical Engeneering will be best for you !
All the Best :)

Both are actually same.B.tech focuses more on practical knowledge and B.E focuses more on therotical knowledge but the syllabus for both the courses is same.Nowadays both the degrees are equally valued and have importance. It doesnt matter which degree you have, the only thing is that how you are able to perform your given task.
So any of these B.Tech or BE in petroluem engineering is same. The thing matters is that you have to do your engineering from a good college.
Hope this helps u and all the best!!!
