Candidates must appear for NPET and PI conducted by the University. Candidates who have a valid score in NET/ GATE/ SLET, are exempted from taking NPET and called directly for PI round.

The minimum eligibility criteria to pursue PhD at MGKVP is that students must have completed their UG and PG degrees with a minimum aggregate of 55%. Those who have done an MPhil degree with 55% aggregate are, however, also eligible for admission to this course. Final admission to PhD is subject to the Research Entrance Test (RET) conducted by the MGKVP. The RET exam paper is divided into two sections/papers. The details are as follows:The first section/paper will include questions around General Awareness, Aptitude, Academic and related issues. There will be a total of 10 questions. All the questions will be of one mark and the students will get a total of two hours to finish this exam.
