Lalit Narayan Mithila University conducts Ph.D. admission test PAT for accepting admission to the various programmes in September, every year. The exam consists of a total of two papers of 100 marks each in both Hindi and English medium. Paper I of PAT consists of various MCQs on quantitative teaching and research aptitude whereas paper II comprises subjective type questions that are based on the syllabus of the previous qualifying postgraduate degree.

Candidates willing to get admission to K J Somaiya Institute of Management for Ph.D. courses must have a Master degree from a recognised university along with a valid score in the PET exam conducted by Somaiya Vidyavihar University. Those, however, with a valid score in CSIR NET UGC NET JRF, ICMR JRF DBT JRF (BET), INSPIRE, Prime Minister Fellowships are exempted from the university level test. So apply early as the seats are limited and the candidates applying are many. Prior preparation is very important for the students.

For CMR University PhD course, candidates need to clear the entrance exam conducted by the University. After this, merit list is released. The selected candidates can take the admission. Moreover, the fees for PhD course at CMR University is around INR 1 lakh.
