BHU offers Ph.D. courses in different subjects like Bengali, English Hindi Sanskrit, Mathematics etc. To be eligible for these courses, candidates need to have scored at least 55% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in the relevant subject at postgraduate level. Bhu conducts its entrance exam I. e BHU RET to select students for their Ph.D. courses. The selection of the student is based on the merit obtained in the BHU RET.
