There is no difference in validity for Ph.D. course in private, state or central universities if the university is duly approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). Therefore, if you are thinking to get admission in any private university, then first of all know that university is duly approved by UGC or not.

Candidates should have completed a Masters degree or equivalent in relevant subjects from a recognised university in India or abroad with a minimum of 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA in aggregate. No, there's no age limit for Ph.D. but the age limit for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is 28 years. If you want to do it along with it.

Professors in a UG college shall be in the ratio, ordinarily of 1:2:6. The ratio of Professors to Associate Professors and or Assistant Professors in a PG college shall be in the ratio, ordinarily of 1:2.
