HI Dear, The eligibility criteria for PhD is:
Masters degree in the relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate.
5% relaxation to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / specially able candidates. Selection Criteria: An applicant will be short listed for interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST (Ph.D. ). The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in the Interview subject to scoring minimum marks. Exemption from Entrance Test
Applicants who have qualified UGC (NET /JRF) / CSIR (NET / JRF) / SLET / GATE / GPAT / ICAR Teacher Fellowship or cleared M.Phil programme (In regular mode only) are exempted from LPUNEST (Ph.D. ). IMP: Exemption is for LPUNEST (Ph.D. ) only but the applicant will have to fill the LPUNEST (Ph.D. ) form and appear for the Interview. The applicants are required to bring the original documents against which exemption is sought at the time of interview. Ph.D. in management is the highest academic degree awarded in the study of management Science. You can be Professor after your Ph.D. or some big business house will hire you for research work. It is a bad idea to even think of doing Ph.D. from India if you have a good educational background and have some achievements. The best place to do Ph.D. is from USA because of following reasons
* Teaching assistantships
* Graduate assistantships
* Research assistantships (The assistantships include a stipend and a tuition scholarship)
Majority of Ph.D. students get any of these which cover their Tuition fee along with that they get good amount of money to survive.
