HiA lot depends upon your will to work and your dedication. If you have a good guide your Phd will finish within 3 years as in LPU where everything is so streamlined that it finishes by 3 years. But if you or your guide is slow it can carry on till 8 years too.
So choose a college and guide with care.
All the Best !!

Hi,
The option of pursuing Ph.D. is a good one as you can opt for a job as well pursue your higher degree. There are many institutions which give various criteria for the completion of course work. You can choose the one that suits you. You can also check the attendance criteria which suit you. Log in to the web sites of universities that would give such flexibility like Amity, SRM, LPU which already excels in the research works. All the best.

There are some universities that offer interdisciplinary research opportunities. The NorthCap University Gurugram Haryana offers part time Ph.D. programme and faculty there would guide you to undertake your Ph.D. selecting a topic such that your learning at Masters can be put to good use for your Ph.D. One example I can give is you could select topic like 'Motivation" in respect of sales personnel. While you are doing it on Marketing people, the topic is heavily oriented to HRM. But you should have strong reason for such interdisciplinary research.
