You can pursue Ph.D. after MBA. After completing your Masters with minimum 55% marks. You need to qualify a test such as GATE/CSIR-NET/ JEST and TIFR /NEST /SLET, etc. If you qualify written, then you'll be called for interview. In some university, you'll be required to undergo their separate written test and interview. Ph.D. is offered in two modes: Part Time and Full Time. Part Time: A candidate has to attend classes on weekends. Full Time: A candidate has to attend regular classes (56 days a week). You can, but only if one is a regular course and the other is through distance education. The best universities are:

5% relaxation to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / differently-able candidates. Note:
Applicants having relevant post graduation degree in engineering are only allowed to apply for the Ph.D. in engineering disciplines. e. g. applicants with M.Tech/ME in CSE would apply for Ph.D ( CSE), and applicants with MCA or M.Sc. (CS/IT) degree should apply for Ph.D (Computer Applications). The applicants with Masters degree in distance education or online mode are not allowed to take admission in the Ph.D. Engineering Programmes. Selection Criteria:

b) Other conditions as prescribed in the Guidelines for Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programmes. (5% relaxation to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ differently-able candidates)
Admission Criteria:
An applicant will be short listed for interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST (Ph.D ). The eligibility criteria for Ph.D admissions is Masters degree with 55%* marks in aggregate in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to clearing LPUNEST and Interview.
5% relaxation to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / differently-abled candidates.
Applicants who have qualified UGC (NET/ JRF)/ CSIR (NET/ JRF)/ ICAR (JRF/ SRF) examination/ SLET (Punjab only)/ GATE or GPAT score card/ ICAR (NET), Teacher Fellowship holder or passed M.Phil. Programme (in Regular mode only) are exempted from LPUNEST (Ph.D.).
