If you have scored 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale in your BE and you have also cleared any one of the exams amongst GATE / UGC NET / CSIR / DST inspire fellowship then you can definitely go for PhD.

Hi,
Admissions are usually on the basis of entrance exams conducted by Universities/ Institutes. The candidates who secure a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ ST) marks in the entrance test to be eligible for interview. Relaxation for appearing in the Entrance Test may be given by the institute to those candidates who have qualified GATE/NET (UGC/ CSIR). However, you must have an M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Phil. / MCA/ M.Sc. / M.A. / M.
