The total tuition fee for PhD course is INR 1.8 lakh. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. The selection for PhD course will be based on Bennett Research Aptitude Test (BRAT) followed by a personal interview round. BRAT is conducted by Bennett University and schedule for the same will be updated on the official website. Bennett University eligibility criteria varies specialisation-wise for PhD course. However, the common eligibility among all is that aspirants with bachelor's degree with honours and a rigorous research report in the major or relevant area of study and 75% marks of 8.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in the relevant programme can apply for any of the PhD specialisations. The minimum course credit requirement for PhD shall be 10 credits (four research methodology + six others aligned to research plan) for M.Tech qualified candidates. The total fee is INR 51,755 (All students admitted to the Joint MSc-PhD are given waiver of tuition fee for first two years of MSc). The total fee is inclusive of a refundable caution money deposit and is not inclusive of the hostel and mess charges. Also, this is sourced from the official website of IIT JAM.
