The total number of DPharma seats at Apex University is 60. These seats are filled either through the CUET merit or through the APEX merit. Apex University DPharma selection process is based on two criteria. The university selects students for the DPharma programme in the following two ways:50% of the total DPharma seats are filled through CUET meritRemaining 50% of the seats are based on the APEX merit. The university conducts the Apex Common Entrance Test (ACET) to shortlist students for DPharma and other courses offered at the university.

The Apex University DPharma eligibility criteria requires applicants to have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination, with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics (PCM/PCB). They must have obtained a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination. A relaxation of 5% in the minimum eligibility requirement is provided to the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/SBC category. Hence, they are required to have scored at least 45% in Class 12 or equivalent examination.

The programme is offered by the university's School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) . PIET DPharma admissions are offered based on students merit in the qualifying examination. The allocation of seats is done via the HSTES counselling process. As per the latest cutoff information available, the HSTES last round closing rank for the General All India category in 2022 stood at 1340.

Yes, students enrolled in the PIET DPharma programme are required to undergo a mandatory training programme. The DPharma programme is divided into two years. Students, after appearing in the second year of the programme are required to go for three months of practical training. These trainings are conducted at pharmacy stores approved by PCI. They can also opt to work in a government hospital. Moreover, during this training programme, students are required to complete 500 hours of training in prescription handling, inventory control, drug store management, and assisting medical officers in regular procedures that deal with the patient
