To get into the M.Pharm programme offered by the NSHM Institute of Health Sciences at Kolkata, high GPAT scores are common. GPAT is a common entrance test conducted nationally for the pharmacy Post Graduate courses and it is accepted almost for eligibility everywhere. Otherwise if a GPAT score can't be produced, then the institute can accept other entrance exams or even set up and administer its own test. However, GPAT continues to be the embedded and the primary requirement for student admission into the program.

In the campus placement conducted at NSHM Institute of Health Sciences in Kolkata, the tentative offer of B.Pharm students stands at INR 5.8 Lacs per annum and goes as high as INR 12 Lacs per annum. There are many corporate organizations like pharmaceutical companies and health care organisation that recruit the graduates of the institute, and the placement record of the institute is very good. This shows a general allowance scale that could be given out depending with the performance of the employee.

Number of students who will be able to do M.Pharma in Pharmacology at Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology totally depends on the seats intake for this specialization. The seats intake is 15 for every specialisation of M.Pharma at this Institute, so it will be same only for pharmacology. The total seats intake is 105 with 7 different specializations of this course. Cutoff for entrance exam will be released according to seats intake only, and as the seats are very limited, you are suggested to prepare nicely for entrance exam.
