If you want to work under a famous photographer for increasing your ability and experience it actually helps you in many way. When you work with other seniors photographer you can learn from them so many things and techniques. Everyone has different criteria to select their interns some select interns by taking their interview, according to their ability, interest and some of select according to their experience. So you should go and give interviews and your resume.

Being a professional lifestyle photographer, it is my recommendation that you don't have to go to photography college to learn it. You can do some short term photography courses. You need to learn basics and advance tricks. Mostly, it's about seeing, feeling the moment and capturing the best possible perspective of that situation.
If you really love photography and also want to make money while doing it, then you can get a degree in mass communication or visual communication. To get a degree, you can choose any steam in class 12th.
