You should go with Maths as maths is mostly asked in one form or the other in many competitive exams be it UPSC or any government exam whereas physics is not so asked if considering competitive exams so you should go with Maths. Good luck.

For admission in Biotechnology, you need not to prepare Maths and physics for the same as for admission in any post graduation degree you need to prepare only the subject for which you are seeking admission. Some universities may have MAT section as well, you can prepare for that but no need to prepare Maths and physics.

Most important of all, your concepts should be very clear. All formulas should be on your fingertips. After getting above 2 points done, practice a lot especially from previous year question papers. You should Prepare with Ncert first, when you are done with Ncert than you can go for books like Hc verma, you should get material of any coaching institution and practise from it well. Hope you got your answer. Regards, Rajdeep Sinha.
