At the very start go for basics from H. c verma or resnick halliday. Krane for nuclear physics. Malvino and leech For Digital Electronics
Griffith for electromagnetic theory. H. Goldstein or J. c upadhyay for classical mechanics

If you have interest towards the course, then you can take it. Though if it is difficult, if you have interest then you can surely learn them. ECE involves concepts from Physics like the semiconductors, transistors, radio waves, sonar etc. So it is important to know the basics of such concepts and to have the ability to grasp them well, in order to choose ECE.
