You can prepare for JAM exam by yourself also. IIT JAM Exam is tough but if you prepare well, then you can easily crack the exam. Start your preparation 7-8 months before the exam. This will give you enough time for the revision. Check the complete syllabus and exam pattern. Refer best books and study materials for your preparation. Solve previous year question papers and take online mock tests. This will give you an idea about the pattern and difficulty level of the questions. Make notes of all the important stuff. This will help you in your last minute preparation. Study at least 6-7 hours daily. Give your last 30-45 ins to the revision daily.

You should go for MCA. Most of the institutes require 45 to 50 % aggregate in qualifying exam for taking admission. Reserved categories get some relaxation in aggregate percentage. Apart from this there is another prerequisite for taking admission in MCA degree; one must have studied Mathematics in 10+2 as a compulsory subject. Direct admissions are done on the basis of merit in qualifying exam. After taking entrance test qualified students are called for counselling. Counselling is conducted for seat allotment in various colleges under that university. Admission is done after allotment of seat in counselling.
