Physical therapy is done in order to maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout the lifespan. Therapy helps to treat disorders without using drugs. Physiotherapists have a thorough understanding of the human anatomy and the intricacies of bones, muscles, and nerves. LPU BPT is approved by IAP ( Indian Association of Physiotherapy), moreover, LPU has its own hospital in which you can have practical knowledge of the same. This builds up the confidence of the student and makes them more familiar with their work. LPU also has a good placement cell for this department which is not at all fake. Students can attain positions in sports training centers, health and fitness centers, hospitals, physiotherapy & rehabilitation centers, spastic societies, and special schools. Opportunities also include pursuing higher studies in reputed universities in India and abroad. Students can also avail of jobs in health insurance and medical coding companies. Strong emphasis is laid on the theoretical and practical aspects of physiotherapy and healthcare through courses on clinical. Not only Physiotherapy students are also offered subjects like communication, analytical and soft skills to enhance personality and employability which is also important simultaneously.

Post Graduates of the MPT programme find profitable employment in hospitals, health institutes, fitness centers, and private clinics. One of the few facilities in North India with Neurological Rehabilitation, Orthopaedic Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, and Paediatric Rehabilitation specialized labs. Hospital teaching in partnership with DMC, Fortis, and SPS Hospitals in Jalandhar and Ludhiana, which are JCI and NABH accredited. SBRM Hospital, LPU, Phagwara, and now Jalandhar have well-equipped physiotherapy outpatient clinics.
