1. Min Age 17 Yrs.
2. 10 + 2 Passed with Physics and Maths from recognized board or equivalent.
3. 200 hours flying training followed by passing practical and written exams.
4. Duration 24 months.
5. No maximum age but not advisable for candidates above 35 years due to cut off age for airline recruitment.
So from above students of 10+2 with medical stream are not eligible for Commercial pilot licence.

Before choosing a flying school, you should focus on the following key factors:
1. Aircraft availability and serviceability
2. Airworthyness of the aircraft
3. AMEs are available; 4. Checks can be taken by qualified instructors and CFI;
5. Qualified ground teachers
6. Amenities like an ATC system and a controlled runway
7. Instrument and night flying capability
8. The environment

Pilot Training Eligibility Criteria
Step 1:
To become a commercial pilot in India, candidates first have to possess a Student Pilot License. To get the SPL candidates must be class 12th pass with science as a mandatory stream.
Age Requirement: Candidate must be minimum 16 years of age to register for a flying club which is recognized by DGCA- Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Govt. Of India.
Registration: Candidates need to provide a medical certificate, bank guarantee and security clearance.
