You must complete Class XII under the 10+2 system or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in Maths and Physics. You must be at least 16 years of age to be eligible for a Student Pilot License, 17 for a Private Pilot License, and 18 for a Commercial Pilot License.

For becoming a commercial pilot, there is a specific eligibility criteria, which you should first be aware of. This is decided on what subjects have you taken in class 12th. It requires PCM to be a pilot. And, even if you have not opted for the same, then you can appear separately for these subjects and become eligible. Salaries of Commercial Pilots are same everywhere, it is dependent on market stats. No flying will give you package.
It is dependent on Airline. It is not at all dependent on the flying school.
Flying Schools play no role in package.

All the flying clubs are DGCA approved. No one can start or operate a flying club without DGCA's approval. You may look for clubs which have better facilities like Navigational systems, Availability of instructors, suitability of weather for training flights and aircrafts. As far as reputation is concerned you should look for IGRUA, NFTI, Chimes Aviation, MPFC, Carver Aviation, NFC Nagpur and BFC Mumbai. Mind it they don't repute in terms of placements it's just that the training is good there. And they also cover most of the above mentioned criteria. It is not necessary that you will be called up after one year for re-examination. If there is anything that is recommended to you and printed on your assessment, then you may be called up even earlier or just after you justify that recommendation.

Helicopter Pilot is a very good option. They have options in VIP flights, tourism flights, private flying, government flying, etc. You will have to appear for the course called CHPL (Commercial Helicopter Pilot License). There are various institutes which conduct such courses. Since you have just cleared your class 12, I expect you to be thorough with your studies.
