Becoming a pilot can never be a wrong option, if you seriously wish to become one. Airline flying has the highest salary and most amount of benefits. Some of these are corporate aviation (flying company airplanes), agricultural flying (crop dusting), and you could fly full time in the military. Regional (or commuter) airlines also employ pilots, although the pay scales and working conditions are not like the major airlines. One can get jobs at AirIndia, SpiceJet, Lufthansa, Jet Airways, AirAsia, IndiGo, National Aviation Company of India and many more.

Eligibility Criteria for CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence)
Candidate must be aged at least 18 years.
Able to understand, speak, read and write English for Commercial Pilot License.
Must have acquired Private Pilot License or must fulfill its requirement to obtain it.
200 hours of flying along with PPL 60 hours is required.
Medically fit.
Entrance Exam:
Candidates must have to clear the entrance exam before joining the course. Candidates must passed Bachelor's degree like Engineering with Physics and Maths subject of 55% marks along with 10+2 examination. Pilot aptitude test will be conducted during entrance exam. After clearing that,

Hi,
ELIGIBILITY FOR CPL (COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENCE)
EDUCATION :
Minimum qualification required is 10+2 with physics & Maths.
or any Equivalent as approved by DGCA.
Medical :
Class II Medical (Indian) is compulsory .You should be medically fit as per the standards laid down by DGCA. Link of Class II DGCA Approved Medical examiner: http://www.dgca.nic.in/medical/class2-ind.htm.
Flying Training :
The Candidate has to complete 200 Hours (Two hundred hours) of flight time for completion of the course.

Pilot & animation are two different careers. If your son wants to take up animation as a career, he should be prepared to draw (sketching) & paint. He cannot rise high in a career in Animation unless he develops excellent drawing & painting skills (mainly drawing). Robotics is again a different field. The CPL can be done for an investment of around 23 Lacs for a single engine training and around Rs 28 Lacs for a multi-engine training. CPL is not a semester wise course and the fee can be paid in the installments. Almost, all the leading banks offer loans for pilot training. For more details, visit:

Entrance exam to becoming pilot is Pilot Aptitude Test (PAT). PAT is a common name for entrance conducted by different institutes and flying clubs and schools. About PAT: This exam checks candidate's proficiency in Mathematics, English and some basics of air navigation, which consists of subjects like- Physics, Geography, Aerodynamics etc. Physics, English, Maths and Geography are totally 12th standard based. If we talk about any big or national based entrance, then it is WOMBAT. WOMBAT is conducted by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Udan Academy (IGRUA) which is a national level entrance for getting admission into India's Best Pilot training
