Being able to fly an airliner is pretty cool.
The view from the flight deck can be breath-taking.
You get to travel the world for free.
Many opportunities to sample global cuisine if you love food.
You never have to bring your work home with you, other than studying/preparing for your check-rides/sims.
You have sufficient time to yourself to pursue your hobbies/interests. There are quite a number of us who are full-time businessmen/hobbyists, part-time pilots. (said partially tongue in cheek)

There are lots of flying schools in India, I suggest you to choose the one which have new and more aircrafts for training so that you can complete your training on time.
Second, you have to see about the ground classes.
The main difference between Govt and private flying clubs are you can complete your training sooner in private flying clubs then in government ones.
Private flying clubs are expensive then government ones.

The first is of mathematics and second is of English with GK.
If you crack that exam, you will get a call letter from SSB.

As long as your vision can be corrected to 20/20 with contacts, or lazer surgery - you will be eligible for a 1st Class FAA Medical Certificate, which makes you eligible to fly as a civilian professional pilot. This is much less restrictive than military pilot vision requirements.

Hello Vidhe,
Definitely, no one can stop you from becoming a pilot after completion of BE, provided you clear the detailed medical exam. It's out of the box but a good solution to overcome unemployment among engineers.
