To become a commercial pilot:
1. You need to first possess a student pilot license. You must be over 17 years of age and have completed 12th in science (Physics and mathematics) with 50%.
2. Your vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6.
3. General physical fitness is mandatory. You must be free of any disease that can hamper normal function.
4. You need to register at a flying club which is recognised by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India.

There is an All India Pilot Challenge scholarship exam. This examination is conducted once a year between April and June. Aspiring student pilots across the nation graduating this academic year are invited to participate in this scholarship competition.
Participating students will be sent a series of information emails on the following:
1. Career opportunities as a pilot.
2. Requirements and training involved in becoming a pilot.
3. Competition details.

It will be difficult to become a commercial pilot in India unless you have PCM in class 12. You are advised to appear as an external candidate for maths after 12th board to fulfill minimum eligibility criteria to become CP.

First you have to decide whether you want to go for engineering or pilot. If you want to become an engineer then prepare for JEE well. If you want to become a pilot then you can pursue graduation course in science and you have to join pilot training institutes where you will get training and after earning flying hours you can apply for CPL license.

If you are planning to take Commercial Pilot as a career option then B.Sc Aviation may not directly benefit you except that you will have graduation degree and in long run based on your graduation degree you can do MBA or any other PG degree.

For becoming a pilot, you have to pursue graduation in physics or any related subject and with that, you have to attend a pilot training course and you should earn flying hours to obtain a CPL licence. After obtaining CPL license, you can become a pilot.
