The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing Pilot course is 10+2 Passed with Physics, Maths and English from recognised board or equivalent. The medical fitness is an important aspect and candidate should possess good physique /eye sight and should be medically fit as per the standards laid down in the Indian Aircraft Rules. Candidates are required to undergo Medical Examination with a DGCA approved Medical Practitioner / Medical Board and found fit. Yes, Government Flying Training School Bangalore has the Pilot Training course. The School offers a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) of 24 Months duration courses. The eligibility criteria and other details are given below.
1. Min Age 17 years.
2. Educational qualification:10 + 2 Passed with Physics and Maths from recognized board or equivalent.
3. Course structure: 200 hours flying training followed by passing practical and written exams.
4. Duration: 24 months.

Please check the eligibility criteria:
You must complete class XII from science stream with a minimum of 50 percent. Maths and physics are mandatory subjects for it.

Hello,
Yes, you can become a pilot. But remember not only science but the complete PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) should have been there as subjects during your class 12 exam.

Pilot training is governed and regulated by DGCA and it is irrespective of the flying school you choose to train with. For becoming a commercial pilot, there is a specific eligibility criteria, which you should first be aware of. This is decided on what subjects have you taken in class 12th. It requires PCM to be a pilot. And, even if you have not opted for the same, then you can appear separately for these subjects and become eligible. Probably look to score good enough to get shortlisted for the flying branch. Then the government shall train you for free to be a pilot and will also take care of all other expenses that are incurred. All the best.
