Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating (CPL/IR) - The traditional ab-initio method of training pilots for the airlines. The CPL/IR are the bare necessities for anyone thinking of a career in the airlines. Trainees spend about 200 hours training on small general aviation aircraft. For CPL training, you can take admission anytime. In some flying schools, they do it in batches.

There is no special scheme for ST only. Some rebate is given in the fee and less cuttoff as per the class 12th percentage for ST students.

The minimum age requirement for getting a commercial pilot license is 18 years. After completion of 18 years and graduation in physics or a related field, you can go for pilot training and after the training and completing 200 to 500 flying hours, license can be issued.
