I am a civil engineer by profession and have done MBA. My dream is to become a pilot. I am now planning to quit my job and apply for CPL in a flying school. Can you tell what all should I be aware of and prepared beforehand, i.e. entrance exams, fee structure, etc.
Thanks.

Hello,
You can go ahead with the choices, some others that I would suggest are:
Some good flying schools in India are listed under:

2. NFTI Gondia
3. Chimes Aviation, Sagar
4. NFC, Nagpur
5. BFC, Mumbai

The major points that you should look for before finalising the flying school are :

Hello Savitha
Becoming a commercial pilot, there is a specific eligibility criteria, which you should first be aware of. This is decided on what subjects have you taken in class 12th. It requires PCM to be a pilot. And, even if you have not opted for the same, then you can appear separately for these subjects and become eligible. Further, you should be aware that you are medically fit to be a pilot, so I would suggest you to visithttp://www.dgca.nic.in/medical/medical-ind.htmandgototheclass2nd examiners tab to find out doctors who will examine you for initial fitness. You can visit any doctorate from the list as per your convenience. O

Hello,
Private License although it has got its own privileges and yes you can fly an aircraft after getting that. But, if you think of a job after PPL then it's next to impossible. No jobs are available for PPL holders, it is just an intermediate stage before CPL. All the best.

To become a pilot you need a Bachelors degree in aircraft operations, aviation, aeronautical engineering, or a related field. In addition, you will complete up to two months of ground training and need more than 1,500 hours of flight experience.
