Indigo Airlines and Jet Airways both are two domestic airlines offering cadet pilot programmes. It commences from ab-initio and culminates at CPL and finally job with them. They do have Job guarantee. But the training cost is much higher as compared to outside in the market. For Jet Airways :

In a year, based on recent statistics, approximately 26 lakh graduates pass out of the Indian Education system. Can you guess how many of them ended up with a job (A job commensurate to their education) on completion of their graduation? 30%? 20%? Nope. An appalling 8%.
Of the 15000 odd CPL holders in India, roughly about 5000 are working in the airlines. So, you do the math and figure out, if it is as tough as otherwise to get a job.
Leaving the stat aside, how tough or how easy it is to make it big in any career, depends predominantly on your caliber and the quantum of effort that you put in to equip yourself to be among the best. I ha

Hi Ishanuj,
You must have a minimum of 55% PCM in class 12th. If you are going to take your flying classes from government flying schools there will be an entrance test conducted by the Director General Civil Aviation or the DGCA. Being a pilot requires a lot of specialized technical training at various levels. In brief, the first level is that of a Student Pilot License (SPL), which allows the student to learn. After getting some training the student is provided with a Private Pilot License (PPL), which allows him to captain an aircraft without passengers. After gaining some training and experience he has to qualify for the Commercial

Yes, definitely you are eligible to apply CPL after +2 with science stream. But, you need to have huge money.
In my opinion after +2, PPL is better. After doing this, go for CPL and Ground handling etc. All the Best.

After getting commercial pilot license, you have to search for jobs as per the vacancies. You can apply to different airlines and can get a job as a first officer. The training club also assists in getting a job but very few placements are done. It may take 1 or 2 months to get a job but demand of pilots is very high.

There is no guarantee that you will get job after Pilot training. No Flying Institute can ever give such a guarantee. Based on market data and trends of shortage of pilots in aviation industry, probability of getting job after obtaining CPL is very high.

To get admission in a pilot training school, you don't have to study much. Knowledge of English is a must since you will be communicating with ATC in English.
Please go ahead without any hesitation.

Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating (CPL/IR) - The traditional ab-initio method of training pilots for the airlines. The CPL/IR are the bare necessities for anyone thinking of a career in the airlines. Trainees spend about 200 hours training on small general aviation aircraft. While in Singapore we think of commercial pilots only as those who helm the large jets taking off and landing at Changi, the term 'commercial pilot' technically means any pilot who flies for financial compensation (pay) for their services which can range from corporate jet charters to crop-dusting.
Anyway, to get to the airlines, CPL/IR holders must ad
